Law is a broad field that encompasses the system of rules set by a society to regulate behavior along with the enforcement of those rules. Law students study all of a society’s rules, but usually specialize their law practice upon graduation into a particular area like civil or criminal law.

The Dominican Republic has one of the strongest economies among the middle income countries of the world, and the government has set itself ambitious goals for its social and economic development. Studying in the Dominican Republic would provide each student with a culture rich and interesting environment.

LLM is Latin for Legum Magister, signifying Master of Laws. Our Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program in American Law is a one-year graduate program. Foreign law graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree “LL.M. in American Law.”
