Introduction

This practical qualification will take you through an entire residential conveyancing transaction from taking instructions to post completion. You will study the land law most relevant to conveyancing, the professional conduct responsibilities of conveyancers and the less common situations that you might encounter such as home rights, insolvency and adverse possession.

The qualification will examine the key forms and processes and it contains useful summaries and checklists that you can use in the workplace.

Risk management is a key skill for conveyancers at any level: the ability to recognise a potential problem and knowing how to react to it is vital for anyone working in a conveyancing department. You will develop skills that will enable you to recognise many of the common risks which will help you become more effective in your role.
